John Bryant
Elder
The Bryant family has been attending Sovereign Grace since 2012. In 2013, John became an elder at the church. John and his wife Marlo have been married since 1990 and have three children. John has served in full time ministry for approximately 22 years in the role of youth pastor, associate pastor, and church planter. John’s greatest joy is in seeing the Gospel bring about the delight of God, to be made known to the people of God, in every tribe, tongue and nation for His glory alone… “Soli Deo Gloria!”
Curtis Skaggs
Elder
Curtis and his family have been attending Sovereign Grace since 2015. Curtis and his wife, Becky, have been married since 2000 and have four children. Curtis became an elder at the church in 2021. Curtis has served within the church as a Sunday school teacher, usher, Grace Group leader, and a member of the Missions Team desiring to serve the church, the body of Christ, to see the gospel proclaimed [to all peoples], and to make known “the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.” (Eph 3:8b-10)
Daniel Champness
Elder
Daniel and his family have been attending Sovereign Grace since 2022. He and his wife, Tiffany, have been married since 2005 and have four children. Daniel has served the church through teaching Sunday school, participating in a Grace Group teaching rotation, and serving in the hospitality ministry. He desires to serve by faithfully caring for God’s people and supporting the ministry of the Word. He is encouraged by the Lord’s ongoing work in His people and is committed to seeing believers grounded in the truth of Scripture and growing in maturity in Christ. His joy is to see Christ honored in His church and His people strengthened in faith and love.
Joe Navarro
Deacon
Joe and his wife, Elida, have been attending Sovereign Grace since 2009. Married since 2006, they have four children and serve as foster parents. Joe, a CPA and Controller for a local non-profit, was ordained as a deacon in 2024. In this role, he oversees the church’s accounting, budgeting, and financial needs. Inspired by Mark 10:45—“for even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many”—Joe is committed to serving the church faithfully.
Derek Eskew
Deacon
Derek and this wife, Sharlene, have attended Sovereign Grace since 2011. They have been married since 1984 and have three married sons and six grandchildren. Derek works as a pharmacist and Director of Operations for a home infusion pharmacy. Derek was ordained in 2026 and currently leads the ushers and communion set up teams. Derek feels led to serve others in Christ's church.
Josh Neis
Deacon
Josh has been a member of Sovereign Grace since 2018. He and his wife Jaqueline are blessed with three beautiful children. As a Deacon, member of the Missions Team, and co-teacher in his Grace Group, Josh seeks to echo the prayer of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 3:19, that Sovereign Grace, along with the Church among the nations, would “know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Luke Casavant
Deacon
Luke and his family have been attending Sovereign Grace since 2021. Luke and his wife, Jenna, have been married since 2008 and have four children. Luke became a deacon at the church in 2026. Luke has served within the church on the sound, set up and tear down team, using his gifts and time to support the worship and ministry of the church. He has a deep love for serving the church and its people, desiring to help meet the needs of the body of Christ and to see the church strengthened and encouraged. Luke considers it a privilege to serve alongside others, seeking to glorify God through faithful service and willingness to help wherever needed.
